I am sorry that I will not be able to attend our 50-year graduation reunion. I will be on my way to the Canadian Rockies for a 500-kilometer bicycle ride from Jasper to Banff. I have become quite the avid cyclist. I have ridden across North America (Astoria, OR to Portsmouth NH), down the West Coast (Astoria, OR to Newport Beach, CA), up the Mississippi River (New Orleans, LA to Minneapolis, MN), and along the Santa Fe Trail (Santa Fe, NM to New Franklin, MO). I also have ridden in the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains; completed numerous week-long rides in Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Colorado; and done too many day-long century (i.e., 100 miles) rides to count.
